Blessing and Inauguration Of The New Dapa Fire Station
Mayor Elizabeth “Abeth” T. Matugas, together with Vice Mayor Gerry “GMA” M. Abejo, attended the Blessing and Inauguration of the newly constructed standard Dapa Fire Station located in Barangay 2, Poblacion, Dapa, Siargao Islands, Surigao del Norte.
After many years, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Dapa now has its own standard office, thanks to the generous lot donation of LGU Dapa, headed by Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas. The land, identified as Lot No. 1573, Cad. 149-D, was formally donated through Municipal Ordinance No. 16 Series of 2021.
The event was also graced by officials from BFP Caraga, led by Regional Director FCSUPT Rodolfo P Denaga, DSC, and BFP Dapa, led by SF03 Michael E Oraliza. Barangay 2 officials, Sangguniang Bayan members, barangay captains from various barangays, LGU department heads, and other stakeholders were likewise in attendance.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in strengthening the emergency response capabilities of Dapa, further ensuring the safety and protection of its people and communities.
